Yes. HeyDoc is accepting new patients from all of Leiden and Leiderdorp, with no waiting list. If you live further away we are not the right practice for you: in an emergency we need to reach you within about 15 minutes. Can I switch if I already have a GP in Leiden? Yes. Unlike many Leiden practices, we also accept patients who are already registered with another GP in Leiden. Register with us and, with your consent, we request your record from your previous GP. Do not register with several practices at once; it becomes unclear where your record should go. How do I register as a patient at HeyDoc? You can register online via our registration form. Fill in your details and we will contact you within a few working days. What information do I need to register? You need your personal details, contact information, and optionally your health insurance information. How long does registration take? After submitting the form, we will contact you within a few working days to complete your registration. Can I register if my current GP has no patient stop? Yes. You do not need to deregister from your current GP first. After you register, HeyDoc requests your medical record from your previous GP with your consent. You can only be registered with one GP at a time. How soon can I be seen after registering? Via chat you usually get a reply the same working day. An appointment at the practice is usually possible within 1 to 3 working days. For urgent matters you can be seen the same day. What does registration and care cost? Registration is free. GP care is covered by the Dutch basic health insurance and does not count towards your deductible (eigen risico). Laboratory tests we order and medication may count towards your deductible. Chat and video consultations cost nothing extra. What if I do not speak Dutch? All consultations can be held entirely in English. HeyDoc is contracted with Aon Student Insurance. What do I do outside opening hours? The practice is open Monday to Friday from 07:00 to 19:00. Outside opening hours, call the out-of-hours GP service on 088 427 47 00 or the HeyDoc emergency line on 020 782 0153 for urgent matters. In a life-threatening situation, call 112.
