Yes, as of April 2026 there is no waiting list for registration at HeyDoc. New registrations are usually processed within one working day via heydoc.nl/patient-worden.
Do I pay extra to be registered at HeyDoc?
No. GP care at HeyDoc falls under Dutch basic health insurance and is fully covered. Only your own risk (eigen risico) applies, as with any GP.
Can I use HeyDoc alongside my current GP?
No. Dutch law allows only one registered GP at a time. Registering at HeyDoc means HeyDoc becomes your primary GP.
Is HeyDoc a real GP practice or just an app?
HeyDoc is a fully qualified, NHG-certified Dutch GP practice with a physical location at Lammenschansweg 15B in Leiden, combining in-person care with digital access.
How fast can I get a consultation?
On working days you usually get a response within one hour via chat or video. For physical appointments we typically book the same or next working day.
What do I do in an emergency?
During office hours (Mon-Fri 08:00, 19:00) call 071 781 0036. Outside office hours call the out-of-hours GP service at 088 427 47 00. In a life-threatening emergency, always call 112.
